Palo Santo (“Holy Wood” in Spanish) is used in South America to add positivity to your space. This wood is used in very similar way white sage is used in North America. Palo Santo has a fresh smell that is subtle and sweet with hints of mint and citrus.
Palo Santo is different than many of the other burnable herbs as it is fragrant in its raw form and does not necessarily need to be lit, though it usually is when being used for ceremonial purposes.
Palo Santo has been used by many ancient civilizations for thousands of years for cleansing, and purification of both individuals and spaces through ritual burning.
Medicinally, this wood contains natural terpenes that can have a positive impact on free radical damage.

How to use it:

Hold the Palo Santo at a 45-degree angle, light the stick, let it burn for about 20 seconds and then gently blow out the flame so that you see a few orange embers on one end. Then you can start the process of clearing your space.

Always be careful and at the end place in a surface that can stand high heat.
